Blue Sky Soccer Complex was developed as an multi-use sports facility officially opening December 2000. Major League Soccer's FC Dallas uses the site as its training center. In addition to serving as the training home for the Burn, the complex hosts a variety of local soccer leagues and tournaments. The $1.5 million complex includes three full-sized outdoor soccer fields and one full-sized indoor field, plus a smaller indoor field for children. The building also includes a pro-shop, weight rooms, locker rooms, concessions and a special locker area for the Burn. The focus is on family and youth activities according to the president of the Blue Sky Sports Center, Peter Brody.
Opened for play in the Spring of 2000, The Tribute at The Colony pays homage to great Scottish courses with an 18-hole layout inspired by some of Scotland's most famous holes and designed by golf architect Tripp Davis. The Tribute was ranked #1 in Dallas and #2 in Texas for "Best Public Access Course" in the May 2005 Golf Digest Magazine. It also made the list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses.
The Tribute at The Colony has its own version of St. Andrews' two finishing holes, including the famous Road Hole complete with a stone wall running the length of the hole's right side. St. Andrews; Nos.1 and 18 spreads out in one vast fairway just behind the clubhouse, and there are also "tributes" to Royal Troon's Postage Stamp, North Berwich's Redan and Turnberry's Wee Burn.

Stewart Peninsula Golf Course is also located on the lake. It even has a boat dock, the only course to offer such an amenity. This course, also designed by Tripp Davis, features nine holes laid out on approximately 88 acres. Although designed with a nine-hole layout, this course has two greens and two sets of tees at each hole which suddenly doubles the course length. This design makes Stewart Peninsula only one of three courses nationwide with such a lay out and offers a beautiful lake view from every hole.
With 23 miles of shoreline on beautiful Lewisville Lake, it's no wonder that we call ourselves "The City By The Lake." We have 23 municipal parks as well as Hidden Cove Park, a 750-acre municipally-owned park on the shore of Lewisville Lake.
The Five Star Community Complex earned The Colony the title of the Sports Illustrated 50th Anniversary Sportstown for the state of Texas. In fact, the Colony Parks & Recreation Department has enhanced their community by providing quality sports programs for citizens of all ages and at all levels of play. By advancing a professional, customer-first philosophy, The Colony Parks & Recreation Department supports and encourages lifelong sports participation and enjoyment. The department also enjoys a strong volunteer base and several successful public and private partnerships in the community.
